Best Family Friendly Accommodation in Napa

There aren't many options in Napa for children. Carneros is a great option because you get the privacy of your own cottage, a family-friendly pool, and the luxury touch. For this particular trip, my wife and I traveled with our 3 young sons; and started with a few nights in San Francisco visiting Fishermans Wharf, Alcatraz, and of course, trying to find Mrs. Doubtfire's house. We then drove over the Golden Gate Bridge, and headed to wine country, Napa Valley, and the Carneros Resort and Spa.

At check-in, the front desk manager told us she was giving the boys their own cottage ( attached to ours of course ). She then gave them their choice of picking out a few movie DVDs to bring

back to their cottage ( yes, this was a few years ago😊) The Two Cottage Suites were amazing. Connected and enclosed with a backyard garden and picnic table. Each cottage had an upscale farmhouse design, with the highlight being outdoor showers. We had dinner at the Boonfly café, an elegantly casual restaurant, delicious fare enjoyed by all. One of the waiters told the boys to come back for breakfast, or better yet; they delivered breakfast to our backyard table complete with freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, breakfast burritos, and as the waiter promised –Boonfly donuts ( a big hit ) There also is fine dining Inspired by the natural abundance of Napa Valley, FARM is a fine dining restaurant in Napa that features an elevated menu based on locally sourced produce.

Our Family Wine Country expedition took us to Sterling Winery in Calistoga. Sterling is one of the few family-friendly tours in the area, complete with an aerial tram, and juice box tastings.

Our visit was capped off with a sunset dip in the family pool and hot tub, overlooking the vineyards, what a beautiful site.
